Job Summary

The Design Engineer provides and recommends the best value of design that meets project requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety. He/She develops design standards and methodologies, and ensures the quality assurance of engineering designs for the projects.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis and design calculations and reports, detailed design drawings, material and equipment specifications, and as-built drawings.
  • Liaises with other Design Engineers, Project Management & Engineering, and Project Management Office groups regarding project requirements.
  • Conducts site visits to verify and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and field engineers regarding project concerns.
  • Complies with proper operating procedures and safety and health standards/regulations.
  • Supports and implements the Environmental Management System with respect to the job.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures, Code of Employee Discipline and Conduct, and Corporate Governance.
  • Protects intellectual property, company proprietary and confidential information.
  • Signs and seals design.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Licensed Engineer
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in designing and estimation of Substations, design experience in various projects such as transmission and distribution lines.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Design & Estimate of Electrical Systems
