Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm QLD, AU Time or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PH Time
Holiday to follow: QLD, AU Holidays
Workdays: Mon - Fri
Work Set-up: Work From Home or office.
Work Details: Full-time
Job Purpose
The Wholesale Tour Consultants provide an intermediary service between travel agents, clients, and suppliers to plan our prearranged or individual tours to our main destinations in Africa, Asia, and the Subcontinent. These services may range from straightforward tasks such as booking direct flights to coordinating entire tour experiences including itineraries, accommodation, transport, flights, day tours, and much more.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following is the primary job duties and responsibilities related to this role. Your tasks will include:
Administration Support
· Prepare Quotation, Confirmation and Final Travel Documentation in line with the booking
· Ensure all services booked are correct against confirmation
· Liaise with booking consultants if any queries or discrepancies arise
· Prepare documents in the format that is set by the client supplied templates
· Maintain knowledge of the regions covered by our tour packages
· Ongoing training with other team members and management
The position, in time, may lead to:
· Liaising with clients over the phone or via other channels (such as webchat, email, Salesforce, etc.) to discuss their travel requirements
· Advising clients on suitable options for our tour packages – which may include international flights, accommodation, local activities, transport, and insurance (but not limited to)
· Preparing customised itineraries to suit the clients' preferences and budget
· Making and confirming bookings via multiple systems (such as GDS, CRM, or via personalised contact methods)
· Issuing tickets or relevant documents
· Providing up-to-date advice on travel regulations, safety, and local customs
· Modifying existing bookings to suit a change in clients' circumstances
· Researching destinations and keeping up to date with travel industry news
Qualifications
The following are the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.
· Minimum 2 years' experience in the Travel Industry
· Sufficient knowledge & intermediate skill of Microsoft Products (such as Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
· Specialized or travel knowledge of at least 2 of the following: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, South Africa & East Africa
· High attention to detail
· Strong communication both oral & written
· Initiative & strategic thinker with an analytical approach
· Team player
· Demonstrate strong time management skills
