Company Description

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) is the implementing arm of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in the Philippines. Our primary mission is to administer a comprehensive national civil defense and disaster risk reduction and management program by providing leadership in the continuous development of strategic and systematic approaches, as well as measures to reduce the vulnerabilities and risks to hazards and manage the consequences of disasters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Finance, or other related field.

Experience:

With one (1) year experience in Technical Writing, Advanced Research, and Finance, demonstrating  proficiency in producing clear documentation, and conducting comprehensive research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the formulation of policies and plans to strengthen civil defense strategies and programs;
  2. Assist in reviewing civil defense plans to incorporate best practices and address emerging threats;
  3. Assist in mainstreaming civil defense programs into various national plans;
  4. Assist in conducting analysis to identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and demographic shifts that may impact civil defense requirements;
  5. Assist in conducting research collaboration to enhance civil defense strategies and capabilities;
  6. Assist in monitoring and evaluation of the civil defense programs implementation to ensure their effectiveness; and
  7. Performs other functions as maybe directed.
