
Payroll & Admin Support Officer

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to manage and process payroll for our 100+ employees. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with Australian legislation and company policies whilst also provide admin support to our finance team. This position will also be responsible for providing admin support to various internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws, including superannuation, PAYG tax deductions, and other statutory requirements
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Responding to employee queries regarding pay, leave, deductions, and supporting payroll-related onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments on payroll matters
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries as required
- Stay updated on relevant payroll legislation and best practices
- Support internal departments such as finance, sales and marketing with carrying out administrative duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in payroll processing within Australia
- Knowledge of Fair Work Act, Superannuation, and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Proficiency with payroll software, ideally Employment Hero or similar (eg: Xero, Micropay, MYOB)
- Strong communication skills
