About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team at Lakpue Drug Inc. in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our payroll department. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.

What you'll be doing

  • Process the bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including the monitoring of attendance, overtime, leaves, and official business
  • Maintain employee attendance records, including leave applications, overtime, official business and update information as required
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and remittances on time
  • Answer employee inquiries about payroll and benefits
  • Assist with the implementation of new payroll policies and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to the payroll team as needed

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience in a payroll or accounting role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations and labour laws
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
