BRIEF DESCIRPTION
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position entails team management, ensuring precise and punctual financial reporting, and introducing accounting best practices to align with the organization's financial objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
- Ensure the prompt and accurate filing of all government-mandated taxes.
- Oversee the processing of accounts payables.
- Validate the accuracy of subsidiary ledger per business unit for assets and liabilities.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities and reconciliations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with other department managers to accomplish department goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze departmental work to identify and implement more efficient procedures.
- Provide guidance to staff on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
- Assist in preparing for year-end audits.
- Supervise the general ledger group to ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines.
- Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to improve department workflow.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as necessary.
- Address personnel issues and oversee the professional development of staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proven leadership abilities, including team management and development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
