Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining a strong internal control environment, and supporting the company's overall financial health. This role will supervise a team of accountants and work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and all financial data is accurate.
  • Prepare and review financial statements.
  • Oversee the preparation of internal reports, variance analysis, and budget vs. actual performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Assist with tax preparation and filing in coordination with external consultants or internal tax teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Willing to work in Makati City
