Job brief

The Merchant Onboarding Lead oversees day-to-day operations of the Merchant Onboarding team, ensuring adherence to SLAs and regulatory compliance while enhancing the merchant onboarding experience. The role focuses on reducing merchant churn and fostering a seamless onboarding journey

Responsibilities:

1.
Team Supervision:
Manage and support the Merchant Onboarding team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and monitoring attendance.

2.
KYC/KYB Compliance:
Oversee the verification and solicitation of documents in adherence to KYC/KYB and AMLA standards.

3.
Progress Monitoring:
Track and report onboarding progress for each merchant, providing regular updates.

4.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work with Sales, Integration, Compliance, and Merchant Support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

5.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor team KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and assist with escalations as needed.

6.
Churn Prevention:
Analyze merchant activity to identify potential churn risks and develop retention strategies.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business or related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in merchant onboarding, preferably in financial institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel); knowledge of KYB/KYC and AMLA processes.
  • Experience with CRM or onboarding systems; detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in e-commerce or financial services is a plus.
