The R&D Chef will lead product development, create new culinary concepts, and manage recipe systems and documentation. This role focuses on innovating new dishes especially within Japanese cuisine and ensuring all products are standardized and ready for operational rollout.

JOB SCOPE

  • Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
  • Lead concept creation and culinary innovation
  • Document recipes, costing, and preparation standards in the R&D system
  • Conduct product tests, tasting sessions, and operational trials
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and QA for product implementation

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience working in Japanese restaurants or Japanese cuisine development.
  • Experience in culinary R&D, product development, or test kitchen operations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent recipe documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct kitchen tests, costing computations, and recipe standardization.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative
