Job Summary

The F&B Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring excellent service delivery, guest satisfaction, and adherence to hotel standards. This role supervises service associates, coordinates with kitchen and bar teams, manages shift operations, and ensures compliance with hygiene, safety, and cost-control policies. The F&B Supervisor also plays a key role in training staff, handling guest concerns, and supporting the F&B Manager in achieving departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banquet functions.
  • Ensure smooth service flow and prompt guest assistance during meal periods and events.
  • Coordinate with the Culinary and Banquet teams for seamless execution of service.
  • Monitor cleanliness, orderliness, and ambiance of outlets in line with hotel standards.
  • Oversee cash handling, billing accuracy, and end-of-shift reports.

Guest Service & Engagement

  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining service excellence and responding quickly to concerns.
  • Handle guest complaints tactfully, ensuring resolution and follow-up.
  • Promote hotel loyalty programs, F&B promotions, and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain visibility in outlets, actively engaging guests and ensuring personalized service.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and motivate F&B associates, ensuring compliance with grooming and service standards.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, delegate tasks, and monitor performance on the floor.
  • Assist in training and coaching new hires and existing staff on service procedures, upselling, and guest engagement.
  • Support staff scheduling and manage attendance to ensure adequate manpower.

Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, requisitions, and minimize wastage.
  • Assist in preparation of reports including sales summaries, outlet performance, and guest feedback.
  • Support F&B Manager in implementing hotel policies, cost controls, and revenue-generating initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field preferred.
  • At least 2–3 years of F&B Team Lead in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in an upscale hotel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and F&B controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and guest-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays.
