The Accounting Officer is responsible for the preparation of financial reports used by management to track the company's financial performance and make informed decisions. This role also involves ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements for the BIR, SEC, and LGU.

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting: daily posting of disbursement transactions, monthly accruals and amortizations, and the compilation of financial statements such as the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. This also includes updating accounting schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Receipts and Disbursement Processing: preparation of checks and vouchers, deposit of collections, release of petty cash reimbursements, and the monthly preparation of billing statements.
  • Collections Monitoring: weekly withdrawal from payment gateways like PayPal and Paymongo, as well as the reconciliation of collections from e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, Lazada, and the company's website.
  • Payroll Processing and Government Mandatories: processing payroll twice a month and monitoring government-mandated payments and loan payments.
  • External Compliance (BIR, SEC, LGU): quarterly payment and submission of the Business Permit, annual submission of G.I.S & GFFS, monthly/quarterly/annual payment of BIR dues, and the annual financial statement audit.
  • Sales Report Updating: monthly sales reporting, asset and liability account reconciliation (excluding cash in bank), and bank reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy or any related field
  • At least 3 years of work experience in accounting.
  • Experience in e-commerce industry is a strong advantage
  • Solid background in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing and government statutory compliance (BIR, SEC, LGU)
  • Knowledgeable in collections monitoring and bank reconciliation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting systems/software
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Willing to work onsite from Mondays to Saturdays
