Position Overview

The Accounting Officer is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, preparing reports, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record-Keeping
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, and payables.
  • Accounts Management
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, and track outstanding balances.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate management reports on financial performance and variances.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and in preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Payroll & Expense Management
  • Assist in payroll preparation and related reconciliations or review.
  • Monitor employee reimbursements and company expense claims.
  • Process Improvement
  • Recommend improvements to financial systems and processes.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Integrity and strong sense of responsibility.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
