Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial statement reporting and payroll-related tasks. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and may include other finance-related duties as assigned. The successful candidate should be available to start in January 2026.

Key responsibilities

  • Time and attendance tracking: Collect and verify employee timesheets or timecards, ensuring accuracy for all recorded hours, overtime, and absences.
  • Payroll data entry: Enter employee time and attendance data into the company's payroll system.
  • Payroll processing: Calculate and process employee pay, including base pay, overtime, and adjustments for holidays, sick leave, or other pay types.
  • Time-off management: Track and maintain accurate records of employee time off, such as vacation, sick time, and personal time requests.
  • Discrepancy resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to time and attendance records.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all timekeeping and payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Reporting and audits: Generate payroll reports, provide analytics, and assist with internal and external payroll audits.
  • Employee support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding their pay, time off, and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, tax compliance, and general accounting tasks.
  • Solid understanding of payroll calculation processes, including government contributions and deductions.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop Pro is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and undergo further training to improve accounting skills.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
