JOB OBJECTIVE
  • Procure materials at competitive cost consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
  • Support manufacturing activities through proper vendor scheduling of line extensions and supplier inventory management.
  • Support business team requirements for core and new products (line extensions).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages outstanding Purchase Order from issuance, PM watch release to PO hard copy transmittal and clean-up of core products and line extensions.
  • Solicits price quotations and carefully analyzes price offers. Regularly updates Billing Book.
  • Issues cost sheets for existing and line extensions.
  • On time SCAR closure with respective suppliers.
  • Monitors packaging material development of line extensions.
  • Conducts regular review of supplier's capacity.
  • Assist superior in budget preparation, supply planning and situation analysis and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Resolves supplier payment issues, grievances and claims against suppliers.
  • Recommends supplier business allocation.
  • Distributes approved packaging material specifications to suppliers.
  • Develops new or alternative materials/suppliers.
  • Maintains packaging material records such as MPO copies, updated packaging material specifications, approved LSDs and print cards.
  • Reviews the generated MRP and regularly provides suppliers with forecast.
  • Issues vendor schedule for line extensions.
  • Monitors supplier reliability performance and takes action as needed to improve or maintain the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports requested by superior and/or other departments.
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related courses.

Experience / Expertise

  • Knowledgeable on procurement operations, with at least three (3) years of experience in sourcing and negotiation of new product materials.
  • Knowledgeable on basic packaging manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledgeable on basic production/manufacturing processes.
  • With at least three (3) years of experience in supply management.
  • With at least three (3) years of experience in project management.

Skills/Competencies

  • Computer literate. Proficient in the use of basic MS Office Application.
  • With ability to read and interpret documents such as price lists, catalogues, requisitions, supplier quotes and invoices.
