JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the procurement, storage, inventory, distribution and disposition of medicines, medical supplies and office supplies.
· Receives and checks all purchase requisition for medical and non- medical equipment and supplies submitted by all departments and units concerned, reviews them, gets at least three (3) quotations from suppliers for deliberations.
· Ensures the best quality, right quantity, proper specification and reasonable coast all requested medical and non- medical equipment and supplies, as pre- requisites to final approval of purchase option.
· Makes initial negotiations with suppliers for discounted prices and freebies, profit- sharing schemes and modes of payment before presenting options to the Director, Business and Finance for budgetary purposes and to the President and CEO for final approval.
· Coordinates with the department heads for specifications of purchase requisitions.
· Obtain quotations from at least three (3) supplier and canvasses prices for presentation to the Director, Administrative Services prior to recommendation for purchase by the Director, Business and Finance and approval by the Medical Director and /or President and CEO.
· Prepares purchase order and forwards them to the Director, Administrative Services for recommendation by the Medical Director and approval by the President and CEO.
· Submits duly verified invoices and duplicate copies of purchase orders to the Accounting Office for processing of payment.
· Maintains an inventory of all medical and non- medical supplies of the hospital.
· Supervises the annual inventory of medical and non- medical supplies.
· Establishes control to safeguard medical and non- medical supplies.
· Recommends and coordinates the disposal of unserviceable and waste materials.
· Prepares aging analysis of inventory.
· Submit duly verified and duplicate copies of purchase orders to the Accounting Office for processing of payments.
