Job Summary:

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the purchasing process within an organization, ensuring that goods and services are procured at the best possible prices, quality and within required timelines. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, sourcing new suppliers and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This role will work closely with other departments to identify needs and manage the flow of supplies, materials, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and release purchase orders.
  • Administration of order acknowledgements / confirmations including follow up and to take actions on deviations from purchase orders.
  • Performs other purchasing tasks assigned from time to time.
  • Encoding of daily transactions of purchase order.
  • Monitoring of credit limit and collection in a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience on the same field.
  • Knowledgeable in excel.
  • Knowledge in basic accounting.
  • Experience with purchase order processing is an advantage.
