What's the role about?

The Airport Officer oversees the full scope of ground operations, ensuring strict compliance with PAL Express (PALex) standards for safety, quality, and customer service. This role monitors and evaluates ground handling performance, manages both passenger and cargo operations, and ensures that all activities meet regulatory requirements. The position demands strong leadership in coordinating with service providers, airport authorities, and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and seamless operations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily ground operations to ensure safety, quality, and customer service standards are met.
  • Supervise passenger processes including check-in, boarding, disembarkation, and handling of special passengers.
  • Coordinate ramp activities and aircraft servicing needs such as fueling, cleaning, catering, and equipment deployment.
  • Monitor baggage and cargo loading/unloading and ensure proper weight and balance.
  • Liaise with airport authorities, service providers, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with PAL Express safety, security, and regulatory requirements (including CAAP regulations).
  • Handle passenger and cargo-related complaints and ensure timely resolution.
  • Oversee training, performance, and compliance of ground handling staff and service providers.
  • Prepare and submit required operational reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain on-time performance by managing disruptions, delays, and operational challenges effectively

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Can be a graduate of any course.
  • Preferably with at least
    5 years of experience
    in airport handling operations.
  • Strong knowledge in
    Passenger, Baggage, and Ramp Services
    .
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications:
    MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle
    .
  • Strong planning, analytical thinking, organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Solid understanding of company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
