Job Summary
The HR Manager plans, directs, and coordinates all administrative and facet functions of the Human Resources department. This role is critical for ensuring the company's workforce is managed effectively, complies with labor laws, and supports the high-demand, project-based needs of the construction industry.
Detailed Tasks
Core HR Functions
-Recruitment & Staffing: Oversee the talent acquisition process, including developing job descriptions, managing recruitment platforms and campaigns (for both office and site personnel), and coordinating on-boarding/off-boarding.
-Compensation & Benefits: Manage the company's compensation, payroll, and employee benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and conduct market salary benchmarking.
-Labor Relations: Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes; serve as a bridge between management and employees to foster a positive work environment and address labor issues promptly.
-Compliance & Policy: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures; ensure strict compliance with all local labor laws and construction industry-specific regulations, especially concerning site safety and certification requirements.
-Performance Management, Development & Training: Implement performance management systems; assess training needs and coordinate learning & development programs, including mandatory safety training and technical skills upgrade programs.
-Employee Engagement & Retention : Employee Engagement Initiatives: Design, execute, and evaluate programs to promote employee morale, motivation, and commitment, such as recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee surveys.
- Culture Building: Actively promote the company's core values and culture, ensuring a cohesive and positive atmosphere across both office and site locations.
-Establish effective internal communication channels to ensure timely and transparent flow of information from management to employees and vice-versa.
-Retention Strategies: Analyze employee turnover data, identify key drivers of attrition, and develop targeted retention strategies, especially for high-demand skilled trades and critical personnel.
-Budget Management: Manage the HR department's annual budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for recruitment, training, and engagement programs.
Requirements & Skills
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Experience: minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
