Role Overview

We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to oversee content planning, creation, scheduling, and basic engagement across our digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage a monthly content calendar
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (reels, carousels, graphics, captions) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring all graphics align with our brand colors and voice, and maintaining consistency throughout all platforms
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice aligned with our mission and values
  • Track metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and recommend improvements
  • Increase online community engagement in a time-efficient manner
  • Respond to comments and messages with professionalism and warmth
  • Collaborate with our internal team to highlight services, campaigns, and practitioner insights
  • Stay current on trends relevant to mental health, wellness, equity, and culturally-grounded care

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
  • Strong background in graphic design and proficient use of Canva Pro
  • Experience in virtual assistance (VA) and marketing required
  • Skilled in creating reels, carousels and tracking engagement metrics
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently (5–10 hrs/week)
  • Must be available to work during Canadian business hours (Eastern Time)
  • Reliable internet connection and laptop required
  • Familiarity with psychology, mental health, or wellness (asset)
  • Competent with Google Suite and scheduling tools such as OneUp / Buffer / Hootsuite
  • Deep alignment with values of cultural humility, inclusivity, and trauma-informed care
