Job description:

  • Assist the accounting manager in overall management of the Accounting Department.
  • Oversees daily operation of Accounting Department, including accounts payable/receivable, general accounting and others.
  • Develop accounting practices, policies, implement automation and and recommends process improvements along with the accounting manager to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Supervise, assist, trains, provides support and evaluate subordinates within the department.
  • Organize and ensure accuracy and maintain updated records of financial data and other useable information.
  • Monitor and ensure completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Reconcile discrepancies, accommodate related inquiries and concerns of branches, head office departments and external clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial/accounting reports to the management.
  • Monitor and comply with all government-related transactions such as BIR, Business Permits.
  • Cooperate with the internal and external audits.
  • Perform other related tasks/duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor / College Degree in Accounting.
  • With 2-3 years' experience as an Accounting Officer / Supervisor.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formula
  • Ability to process large amount of numerical data
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
