Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our warehousing and logistics operations for a wholesale food and beverage company. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, coordinate efficient distribution, and ensure the timely delivery of goods to meet customer expectations. Knowledge in meat, seafood, cheese, and cold cuts is a significant advantage.
Scope of Work
Warehouse Operations Management:
· Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
· Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
· Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to optimize space utilization.
Inventory Control:
· Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
· Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
· Implement effective stock rotation practices, especially for perishable goods.
Logistics Coordination:
· Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
· Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation companies.
· Oversee the proper handling, storage, and transportation of temperature-sensitive products.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Lead, mentor, and train warehouse staff to enhance performance and productivity.
· Set clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
· Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
· Implement and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
· Oversee the proper handling of refrigerated and frozen goods to maintain quality and freshness.
Process Improvement:
· Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
· Utilize data and technology to streamline warehouse and logistics processes.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
· Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., sales, purchasing) to meet business needs.
· Resolve issues related to damaged goods, delivery delays, and customer complaints effectively.
Reporting and Analysis:
· Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and logistics efficiency.
· Analyze data to forecast inventory needs and manage supply chain risks.
· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
· Knowledge of handling perishable goods, including meat, seafood, cheese, and cold cuts, is a plus.
· Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
· Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is highly preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
