Job description

The Importation Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the importation of goods and products from overseas suppliers or manufacturers.

The job responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and identifying potential overseas suppliers or manufacturers that can provide the required goods or products.
  • Negotiating contracts with overseas suppliers, ensuring that the company obtains the best possible pricing, delivery times and terms.
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to determine the product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Managing the customs clearance process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitoring and tracking shipments, ensuring that they arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the importation process, such as optimizing shipping routes or negotiating better terms with suppliers.
  • Managing relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
  • Keeping up-to-date with import regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that the company remains in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Creating and managing budgets for importation activities, ensuring that expenses are within approved limits.
  • Providing regular reports to senior management on the status of importation activities, including performance metrics, risks and opportunities, and recommended actions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
