The Import Document Assistant is responsible for managing and monitoring the importation process. This includes ensuring accurate and complete documentation, compliance with domestic and international customs regulations, and timely customs clearance. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, logistics teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure a seamless flow of goods and efficient supply chain operations.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

Shipment Monitoring

  1. Regularly update estimated arrival times for shipments using real-time information from carriers and logistics partners

Permit Applications and Compliance

  1. Apply for SPS (Sanitary and Phytosanitary) import clearance permits and provide the necessary documentation to suppliers

  2. Monitor the progress of SPS applications within Inter commerce, addressing any feedback or requests from regulatory authorities promptly.

  3. Ensure all supplier-provided documents comply with domestic and international customs regulations.

Document Verification and Record Keeping:

  1. Checking the accuracy and completeness of supplier documents before approval.

  2. Communicate with suppliers to resolve any documentation discrepancies or required changes.

  3. Maintain organized records of all import-related documents, including pictures of items for sales department reference.

Customs Coordination

  1. Track the status of shipments and ensure all required approvals are obtained to avoid delays.

General Support:

  1. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Import Supervisor or Import Officer to support smooth import operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
