Systems and Business Controls Analyst

ROLE SUMMARY:
Establishing, monitoring, and maintaining the Company's business processes and systems to protect assets and ensure that all business processes and systems operate effectively and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
KEY FUNCTIONS:
o Evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls; identify control weaknesses, process deficiencies, and compliance gaps.
o Recommending changes to processes to streamline and improve efficiency while strengthening controls.
o Collaborating with process owners to develop and implement strategies to address and remediate control deficiencies.
o Formulating and updating internal policies and procedures to improve controls, compliance, and efficiency.
o Providing training to Company employees on existing procedures and policies, and compliance standards
o Monitoring compliance with the existing procedures and policies, and reporting of exceptions (as applicable)
QUALIFICATIONS
I. Educational Requirement
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering,
The following are advantageous for the lead/senior role: o Certification (i.e., Certification in Business Analyst, Certified Internal Auditor)
o MBA or a Master's in Business Analytics
II. Prior Work Experience
Minimum of 1 Year of professional and regular work experience in any of these areas: business analysis, supply chain operations, preferably FMCG, process mapping, and improvement
Experience in Project Management is a plus for the lead/senior role
III. Necessary Skillsets
A. Core Analytical and Technical Skills
· Requirements Gathering
o Interviewing stakeholders
o Writing clear functional and non-functional requirements
· Business Process Modeling
o Tools: BPMN, Lucidchart, Visio, ARIS
o Ability to map "as-is" and "to-be" processes clearly
· Data Analysis and Attention to Details
o Ability to extract data from the Company's ERP, e.g., SAP
o Proficient in the use of Excel (advanced), Power BI
o Understanding KPIs and process performance metrics
o Noting details from the data that have a big impact
· Problem-Solving
o Root cause analysis (e.g., Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys) o Six Sigma or Lean methodologies certifications (often preferred)
· Project Management
o Knowledge of Project Management Approach (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
o Project Planning & Scheduling and PM Tools (prioritization, deadline tracking, and schedule optimization), and use of Project Management tools
B. Soft Skills
· Network and Collaboration
o Ability to collaborate and facilitate projects involving cross-functional teams (IT, operations, finance, etc.)
o Leading process improvement workshops
o Understanding how to support transitions in processes
· Critical Thinking Skills
o Ability to analyze information objectively before making recommendations
o Skills in evaluating evidence and identifying logical connections
o Identifying/sourcing alternative perspectives
· Effective Communication
o Ability to engage and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at different levels in the organization
o Preparing documentation and process reports
