Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice verification, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
  • Process and schedule supplier payments and payment arrangements through online banking systems in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all vendor details.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian GST requirements and assist in the preparation of BAS reporting where required.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline AP processes and enhance system efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within an Australian business environment.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP/accounting software).
  • Strong knowledge of banking systems and experience in processing electronic payments and managing payment schedules.
  • Solid understanding of bank reconciliations and general ledger processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
