Job Description
As a Paralegal, you'll play a key role in supporting legal, compliance, and global expansion initiatives. From handling documentation and research to coordinating with internal teams and global partners, you'll ensure every process is handled with accuracy, professionalism, and purpose.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Law, or related field.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a corporate or law firm setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
- High adaptability with technology tools and openness to leveraging AI solutions for efficiency.
- Strong analytical and risk-spotting abilities with proactive communication.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with contract management tools (e.g., LawVu) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
Your Daily Tasks
Legal and Administrative Support:
- Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to all leaders under the GCGLA Division.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for document requests, submissions, and follow-ups.
- Assist in printing, mailing, tracking mailed letters, and filing correspondence for proper documentation and monitoring.
- Support global expansion initiatives, including research on business registration, compliance, and labor or regulatory requirements in new markets.
- Coordinate with local counsel, consultants, or government agencies for filings, documentation, and information gathering.
- Research and analyze U.S. state laws and regulations related to mortgage licensing and compliance.
- Summarize licensing requirements and assist in preparing documentation for applications and renewals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely NMLS submissions.
- Maintain a compliance tracker to monitor deadlines, submissions, and correspondence.
Legal Research and Compliance:
- Conduct legal research and provide factual findings to support ongoing matters.
- Compile data and documentation for compliance initiatives and due diligence.
- Support internal policy development and process improvements within the division.
- Research and summarize U.S. laws related to licensing and compliance.
- Coordinate submissions and monitor correspondence with state regulators.
Cross-Departmental Support:
- Assist leaders with ad-hoc tasks, including meeting coordination and report preparation.
- Act as a point of contact for routine inquiries, escalating issues when necessary.
- Support the Head of Resolution Management in preparing pleadings and documentation for small claims court filings.
- Conduct basic legal research on relevant cases or procedural rules.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform other administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned through written or verbal instruction.
