This role focuses on managing claims, including reviewing Notices to Proceed (NTP) and evaluating Change Orders (QS-CO). It also involves preparing cost estimates for upcoming Change Orders and guiding the Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical team to ensure accurate and timely project cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and submits accurate cost estimates and Change Order evaluations with all necessary documents.
  • Ensures cost estimates and Change Orders are submitted on time to keep the project on track.
  • Provides reliable estimates and evaluations based on standard procedures and unit costs.
  • Reviews Notices to Proceed (NTP) from the Construction Manager to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Guides and mentors the Quantity Surveyor team to ensure consistent and accurate work.
  • Handles other tasks as needed to support project and team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer.
  • Has 8–10 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimating, or 10 years in engineering or construction.
  • Understands quantity surveying, including contracts, takeoff, cost estimates, cost analysis, and basic knowledge of claims, procurement, and construction management.
  • Has experience supervising Quantity Surveyors.
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD, Planswift, and other measurement tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, reading plans, measuring, building cost estimates, and calculating unit costs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
