Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – MEPFS

Reports To: Project Manager

The Quantity Surveyor (MEPFS) is responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary works within construction projects. This includes cost estimation, budgeting, valuation, and contract administration to ensure project profitability and compliance with design and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEPFS works based on drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Develop and maintain BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdowns for all MEPFS systems.
  • Evaluate and verify subcontractor quotations, progress billings, and variation orders.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within approved budgets.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress reports, cost forecasts, and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate with the engineering and procurement teams for accurate pricing and material validation.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and final account settlements for MEPFS works.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Support the Project Manager in financial planning, risk assessment, and contractual matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably with at least 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying for MEPFS works within the construction industry.
  • Familiar with estimation software (e.g., CostX, Planswift, Bluebeam, etc.) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of MEPFS systems, project cost control, and construction methodologies.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, standards, and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
