We are looking for an
Insurance Underwriting Specialist
to evaluate insurance applications, assess risks, and determine appropriate coverage and premiums for various insurance products. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with internal teams, contribute to process improvements, and develop professionally in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess insurance applications and supporting documentation to determine insurability and risk levels.
  • Recommend policy terms, conditions, and exclusions based on risk analysis.
  • Approve, modify, or decline applications in line with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Determine premium rates using established tools, guidelines, and data insights.
  • Collaborate with teams, agents, and brokers to clarify application details and provide guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and prepare reports on trends and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance underwriting processes and implement best practices.
  • Participate in professional development programs to strengthen skills and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Experience in insurance underwriting (non-life or consumer-focused preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a professional setting.
