The Opportunity:

Are you detail-orientated and skilled in data entry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a meticulous and detail-orientated Underwriting Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering new insurance submissions into our client's underwriting system and ensuring all required data is reported to regulatory agencies. You must have a high level of attention to detail, exceptional data entry skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Processes new business and renewal applications.
  • Handles Cancellations & reinstatements.
  • Manages the Underwriting and Submission mailboxes and assigns underwriting requests to the underwriter.
  • Aids underwriters in maintaining service standards
  • Handles inquiries and requests from both agents and insureds.
  • Assists in reviewing insurance applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collects and verifies underwriting data, including loss history, claims information, and financial records.
  • Assists in necessary compliance and regulatory processes such as OFAC
  • Prepares and issues policy documents, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
  • Communicates with agents, brokers, and clients to obtain necessary information and documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in assessing risks and making recommendations.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on providing support to agents, brokers, and clients.
  • Basic understanding of insurance principles and underwriting concepts.
  • Ethical behavior and adherence to confidentiality requirements
Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 9am to 6pm
