Summary of the Role:

The Leasing and Business Development Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing leasing opportunities while also identifying and developing new business ventures for the company. This role supports occupancy targets, maintains strong tenant relations, and contributes to the overall revenue and growth strategy of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leasing:

  • Market available properties to prospective tenants through online platforms, brokers, and direct outreach
  • Handle inquiries, conduct site viewings, and present leasing proposals
  • Prepare and process lease offers, contracts, and documentation in coordination with Legal and Property Management teams
  • Assist in negotiating lease terms with tenants to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Monitor lease expirations and proactively manage renewals
  • Maintain tenant database and leasing records with up-to-date information
  • Assist in tenant onboarding and coordination with other departments for move-in/move-out processes

Business Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, or service offerings in line with the company's strategic goals
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategies
  • Build relationships with potential clients, brokers, and industry stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of business proposals and presentations for prospective clients
  • Support branding and promotional initiatives to attract new tenants and clients
  • Participate in industry events and networking activities to represent the company

Reporting and Coordination:

  • Prepare regular reports on leasing performance, occupancy rates, and business development activities
  • Coordinate with the Marketing, Property Management, and Finance teams to align leasing and business strategies
  • Monitor customer feedback and ensure excellent client service and relationship management
  • Stay up-to-date with real estate regulations, leasing practices, and market conditions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leasing, business development, or sales in the real estate or facility management industry
  • Strong understanding of real estate market trends, leasing processes, and property management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software; knowledge of real estate management systems is a plus
  • Goal-driven, strategic thinker with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willing to travel and conduct site visits when required
