
District Sales Manager

The District Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team of Medical Representatives within the assigned South GMA territory. The role ensures the achievement of sales objectives, effective implementation of marketing strategies, and maintenance of strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key institutional accounts. The District Manager serves as the key link between field operations and senior management, ensuring business growth and operational excellence in the assigned district.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management & Target Achievement
Develop and implement district sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze sales trends and market opportunities to maximize growth potential.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, coach, and motivate Medical Representatives to achieve high performance.
- Conduct regular fieldwork, joint calls, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Territory & Customer Management
Oversee territory coverage, segmentation, and call planning to ensure efficient customer reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, hospitals, and institutions.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and effective coordination with internal departments.
Strategic Execution
Ensure full implementation of marketing programs, promotional campaigns, and product launches.
- Provide timely and accurate market feedback to the Marketing and Sales Management teams.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategic actions to maintain competitiveness.
Administrative & Compliance
Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of reports (sales, expense, activity reports).
- Enforce compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage district budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and return on investment.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of pharmaceutical field sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing sales teams and achieving business objectives.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willing to travel extensively within South GMA and nearby areas.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
