Job Overview

Fastrack Multi-Purpose Cooperative is looking for an experienced Franchise Accounting Assistant Manager to oversee financial reporting and franchise accounting operations. The role involves preparing financial statements, monitoring franchisee accounts, and ensuring compliance with policies and tax regulations while supervising a team of accounting assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
  • Issue monthly franchisee financial statements and prepare settlement reports
  • Record inventory adjustments and losses; analyze stock variances to strengthen internal controls
  • Monitor franchise financial performance, including profitability, cost monitoring, and compliance
  • Coordinate with franchisees on financial concerns and queries
  • Maintain accurate franchise account balances, including advances, deductions, and reimbursements
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and franchise financial terms
  • Supervise and train accounting assistants in handling franchise accounting transactions and reporting standards

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an Accounting-related program (CPA or non-CPA)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in franchise accounting (experience in franchise operations or retail accounting is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to meet strict deadlines
