Head Chef Requirements

Qualifications

At least 5 years of culinary experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or head chef role. Culinary degree or professional training in international or fusion cuisine (preferred but not required).

Proven experience handling fusion menus (Asian, European, and Western influences). Strong knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation is a plus.

Experience in menu development, cost control, and kitchen operations management.

Skills & Responsibilities

Develop and innovate fusion-style dishes and seasonal menus.

Oversee daily kitchen operations, food prep, and quality control.

Manage and train kitchen staff to maintain consistency and hygiene standards.

Ensure proper food costing, inventory management, and minimize waste.

Coordinate with management for catering menu design and event execution.

Maintain high kitchen sanitation standards following local health regulations.

Capable of working under pressure in both restaurant and catering settings.

Personal Attributes

Creative and open to experimenting with flavor combinations.

Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.

Can balance culinary artistry with business practicality.

Job Type: Full-time
