Job Role Summary/Overview

Step into a senior accounting role with a thriving Canadian trucking company that values strategic financial planning and tax optimization. This transportation business has experienced significant growth and now needs expert-level guidance to maximize their financial efficiency while ensuring full compliance with Canadian regulations.

This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence the company's financial success and tax strategy. You'll be providing expert-level accounting services with a focus on tax optimization and strategic financial planning for a dynamic transportation business.

Job Highlights

  • Monthly Rate: Approximately PHP 76,000
  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute paid break | Guelph City, Canada, Eastern time
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an "Independent Contractor" arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax preparation and filing strategies
  • Provide expert tax optimization recommendations to maximize business benefits
  • Oversee and review bookkeeping operations when needed
  • Ensure full compliance with Canadian tax regulations and industry requirements
  • Review and validate work completed by bookkeeping staff
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to support business decisions
  • Handle complex accounting scenarios specific to the transportation industry
  • Develop tax planning strategies for ongoing financial optimization

Requirements

  • CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Must be experienced with Canadian tax system and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of tax optimization strategies and planning
  • Ability to handle both high-level accounting and detailed bookkeeping tasks
  • Experience with trucking or transportation industry taxation preferred
