Job Description

As a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper, you'll manage financial operations, process transactions, and support month-end close activities with precision and care. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and streamlining systems for global business efficiency.

Job Overview

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: Night shift (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, EST Time Zone), Weekends Off

Work setup: Permanent WFH

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and
  • Experience with accounts payable and expense coding
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
  • Willingness to work EST Time Zone hours

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with 1099 preparation
  • Experience with merchant account reconciliations

Your Daily Tasks

Accounts Payable & Expense Management:

  • Accurately process and code bills/invoices using
  • Reconcile and update invoice payment statuses for transactions completed outside of to ensure accurate reflection in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Perform regular (daily/weekly) credit card and bank transaction coding using the QBO banking feed

Month-End Close Support:

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring balances tie to statements and all transactions are accurately posted
  • Update and reconcile prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules monthly to ensure completeness
  • Reconcile merchant accounts/payment processors (e.g., Shopify, PayPal) to support accurate revenue recognition and expense matching
  • Reconcile advertising spend accounts and other recurring expense accounts as needed
