Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Must be a licensed Civil Engineer (preferred but not always required).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost control within construction or engineering industries.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts).
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost estimation, and progress reporting.
  • Familiar with construction methods, standards, and materials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in multi-project environments.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
  • License: PRC Civil Engineer (advantage).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project planning, cost estimation, or quantity surveying.
  • Software Skills: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other project management tools.

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop detailed project schedules (baseline and updated) using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Identify project milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and prepare variance reports.
  • Assist in forecasting and preparing recovery plans for delayed activities.

2. Cost Control and Budgeting

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits.
  • Track and analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier progress billings for accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounting departments for cost tracking and payment schedules.

3. Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare regular progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly) covering schedule, cost, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain records of approved budgets, changes, and actual costs for reference and audit.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and cost forecasts for management review.

4. Coordination and Support

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure alignment between schedule and cost objectives.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Support management in evaluating project performance and developing improvement strategies.

5. Change Management

  • Evaluate project scope changes and prepare cost/time impact analyses.
  • Update schedules and budgets accordingly after approval of variations or change orders.
