Job Summary:

The Software Asset Management and Server Coordinator Support role is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of software assets and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. This position manages software inventory, license renewals, and server-related reporting to optimize software usage and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and coordination skills, familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) as a SAM tool, and the ability to manage both software asset tracking and server inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage software license entitlements, renewals, and expirations to ensure continuous compliance and availability.
  • Administer and maintain the organization's Software Asset Management (SAM) tool — ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all software assets across the organization.
  • Track and monitor software installations, usage, and license allocations across systems and servers.
  • Perform license reconciliation between purchased entitlements and actual deployments to prevent over- or under-licensing.
  • Monitor the software lifecycle from procurement through deployment to retirement, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage monthly server inventory and perform reclassification of server charges as needed.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on software usage, compliance status, costs, and optimization opportunities.
  • Identify unused or underutilized software to improve cost control and resource utilization.
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc reports and analyses for management and audit purposes.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the management team.
