The IT Officer supports NHC's day-to-day technology operations, ensuring that all systems—including networks, hardware, software, Softphone/VoIP solutions, and cybersecurity measures—operate smoothly and efficiently. The role provides technical assistance to users, maintains IT infrastructure, and ensures business continuity to support telesales and office operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Operations & Infrastructure Support

• Assist in administering and maintaining servers, workstations, network devices, and communication systems (LAN/WAN, VPN, Softphone/VoIP).
• Support both cloud-based and on-premise systems (CRM, e-commerce platforms).
• Perform regular updates, system monitoring, and backups to ensure reliability and data protection.

2. Security & Compliance

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures such as antivirus, firewalls, and data access controls.
• Ensure adherence to company IT policies and data privacy regulations (e.g., Philippine Data Privacy Act).
• Conduct routine data backup and recovery checks.

3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide technical support and resolve user issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT personnel or vendors as necessary.
• Create and maintain user guides or simple documentation to assist staff.

4. Vendor & Systems Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for IT equipment, software, and network requirements.
• Support the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT assets.
• Help track license renewals and ensure system compliance.

5. IT Team Coordination

• Assist in monitoring IT team schedules and coverage to support operational hours.
• Provide feedback on recurring technical issues and suggest process improvements.
• Participate in internal IT projects and training sessions.

Qualifications

Educational Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), or Microsoft (MCSA) are an advantage.

Work Experience Requirement

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT operations or technical support, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing a small IT support team or coordinating coverage/shifts.
• Strong background in network administration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
• Experience with Softphone/VoIP systems, cloud platforms, or CRM applications is an advantage.
