maintenance officer

Manage daily operations involving facilities, vehicles, and material handling equipment (MHE), while planning

and scheduling workflows to ensure timely and efficient task completion by the team.

 Verifies and requests all necessary parts and supplies required for engineering maintenance activities.

 Coordinates project implementation with relevant departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

 Assists the Maintenance Associate in coordinating the maintenance of all trucks, shuttles, and material handling

equipment including pallet jacks, stackers, pickers, pallet movers, reach trucks, and forklifts to ensure optimal

performance and utilization.

 Evaluates work performance of maintenance personnel to increase efficiency and productivity.

 Safe keeps and monitors issued tools and equipment to ensure its good working condition.

Facilities Management :

 Maintain office and warehouse facilities, including minor construction, repairs, and rectifications.

 Prepares monthly facility maintenance checklists and inspection reports to ensure safety and operational

efficiency.

 Escalate facility corrective maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor for assessment and a decision on

whether the repairs will be managed internally or outsourced to a third-party contractor.

 Supervises the annual preventive maintenance of engineering facilities, including the generator set, air-

conditioning units (ACUs), fire protection systems (FDAS, wet standpipe, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers),

and the sewage treatment plant (STP).

 Organizes maintenance and repair work for engineering facilities in coordination with relevant departments to

maintain continuous operations.

 Coordinate with the procurement department to obtain required repair / maintenance materials for timely

execution and completion of engineering tasks.

MHE and Vehicle Maintenance:

 Supervise the annual preventive maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including pallet mover,

jack pallet, counterbalance forklifts, and reach trucks.

 Monitor and coordinate the preventive maintenance of delivery trucks and shuttle vehicles to ensure optimal

performance.

 Coordinate the preventive maintenance and repair schedules for MHE and vehicles with the relevant

departments and third-party service provider.

 Collaborate with the procurement department to secure the necessary repair and maintenance parts for Material

Handling Equipment and vehicles, ensuring the timely execution and completion of maintenance activities.

 Performed quarterly inspections of tires and batteries to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Project & Vendor Management

 Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to facilitate equipment maintenance and the

implementation of projects.

 Review contractor quotations and progress billings for accuracy and completeness prior to endorsing them for

approval.

 Supervise and monitor engineering projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to safety and technical

standards, and alignment with defined scope and objectives.

 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and conduct site inspections to verify

progress and compliance with specifications.

Minimum requirements for the position

 At least College Graduate, Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical course.

 With at least 2 years of experience in general maintenance or other similar role with formal training in related

field is a plus.

 Ability to handle a team, meet perceptively and courteously with fellow employees and contractors.

 Ability to perform various maintenance tasks and clean-up as needed.

 Ability to evaluate needed supplies and other inventories related to maintenance and projects.

 Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.

 Ability to plan and determines material, equipment and supplies to be used, and transfers of personnel and

equipment from one project to another as necessary.

 Thorough knowledge in corresponding safety precautions and occupation hazards necessary for safe

performance of assigned duties.
