A Day in the Life

Your day begins with a comprehensive campus walkthrough and work order check. You organize the daily tasks for the Logistics and Campus Assistant and the Housekeeping & Linen Attendant. You spend time documenting preventive maintenance, managing key vendor contracts, and troubleshooting critical failures (electrical, plumbing) to ensure zero disruption. You also supervise your team in proactively assisting other departments when core tasks are complete.

Specific Scope and Duties

  • Develop and manage the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) for all campus systems and assets
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to the COL team members, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues, ensuring the building remains safe and functional
  • Maintain all campus security and safety systems (e.g., fire extinguishers) and liaise with security contractors
  • Proactive Campus Support: Monitor common areas and proactively assign COL staff to assist other departments with minor, non-specialized tasks
  • Interacts with: SLCS (to resolve dormitory and kitchen maintenance issues); FAS (for budget and large purchasing approvals)

What We Expect of You

  • Qualifications: Strong technical troubleshooting skills (electrical/plumbing) and effective team coordination abilities.
  • Education: Vocational/Technical course or College degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role.
  • English Level: Intermediate —Required for clear technical reporting to management.

Schedule and Other Requirements

  • Department & Supervisor: Campus Operations & Logistics (COL); Reports to: General Manager / School Director.
  • Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8-hour shift, standard office hours).
  • Strict Requirements: HIGH FLEXIBILITY/ON-CALL is mandatory for all building emergencies. Proficient in MS Excel for work order tracking and reporting.
