POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER (PCO)

Job Description:

· Manage day-to-day hauling/transportations activities and ensure the proper performance, operation, and maintenance of transportation fleet and supervision of support staff.

· Ensure that transport vehicles are properly operated, maintained and road-worthy.

· Coordinate and confirm hauling schedule with respective Client/Generator and deploy transport fleet accordingly.

· Check, verify and approve expenses liquidations and overtime claims of support staff.

· Ensure all staff is equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

· From time to time & under work exigency, attend and support hauling activities including those in Visayas and Mindanao.

· Ensure that the hazardous wastes hauling are covered by a Permit to Transport; each transport is covered by a hazardous waste manifest duly signed by the transporter and TSD facility; and with corresponding Certificate of Treatment (COT) duly signed by the TSD facility. Copies of the signed hazardous waste manifest and COT shall be submitted to the concerned EMB Regional Office.

· Together with the Operations Manager, ensure compliance with the requirements of RA 6969, RA 8749, RA 9003, RA 9275, their respective implementing rules and regulations (IRRs), and other pertinent rules and regulations as required by the Operations.

Qualifications

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/ College Degree- Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Environmental/ Health/ Safety) or any equivalent Engineering Course

· Possesses Pollution Control Officer Accreditation from DENR (preferred but not required)

· Knowledgeable in MS Application

· Flexible and possess good communication and presentation skills

· Preferably with at least 1 year working experience in Supervision

. Must have Driver's License for 4 wheel car
