Job Summary

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization's IT operations across applications, assets, endpoints, and networks. The role ensures that users have reliable access to systems and tools, IT assets are properly managed, and infrastructure is maintained to support business continuity. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Application Support

  • Provide first and second-level support for business applications.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and application configurations.
  • Coordinate with vendors or developers for escalated issues and updates.
  • Ensure regular updates, patches, and system monitoring to maintain performance.

IT Asset Management

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Oversee procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of IT assets.
  • Ensure compliance with asset policies and licensing agreements.
  • Track asset lifecycle to support timely upgrades or replacements.

IT Endpoint Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support for end users.
  • Implement endpoint security controls such as antivirus and encryption.
  • Support and guide users on IT policies, tools, and best practices.

Network Support

  • Monitor network performance and availability to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues.
  • Configure and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Coordinate with service providers and escalate issues when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of application support, IT asset management, endpoint devices, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common business applications.
