Description

The Information Technology Associate supports the IT Team's daily operations, project management, financial tracking, and administrative coordination. This role contributes to the efficiency, service delivery, and mission alignment of IT functions across the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. The assistant helps ensure operational excellence through proactive communication, vendor coordination, data integrity, and team support, guided by YMCA's core values.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of project management and/or administrative experience, preferably in IT or finance environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, invoice processing platforms, and inventory and recordkeeping systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and handling confidential information with integrity.
  • Must have reliable transportation for occasional off-site tasks or errands.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management, scheduling, tracking and coordination of IT Projects.
  • Process and code IT invoices including telecommunications and technology services.
  • Enter and manage invoices and documentation in systems such as PaperSave and other financial tools.
  • Track and reconcile departmental expenditures, generating reports to support budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve billing issues and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • Maintain records, files, and logs for IT procurement, inventory, asset management, and network diagrams.
  • Support IT-related documentation, vendor communications, and coordination of departmental meetings and projects.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards, YMCA data governance, and security practices in all administrative tasks.
Other Duties
  • Provide general administrative support including scheduling, meeting logistics, and internal communications.
  • Assist in IT onboarding for new hires and user support coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the Y's mission and goals.
