Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Definition:
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, schedules, and associated communications documents using appropriate tools.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Execution & Management:
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage and control the project budget, tracking costs and expenditures.
  • Set and manage project expectations, proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and implement a risk management plan, tracking risks and mitigation activities.
  • Resolve project issues and conflicts efficiently.
  • Reporting & Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including the executive team.
  • Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Experience: Proven working experience as an IT Project Manager in a technical domain (e.g., software development, infrastructure upgrades, system integrations).
  • Methodology: Strong understanding and practical application of Project Management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Technical Acumen: Solid technical background with an understanding or hands-on experience in IT processes, software development, or infrastructure.
  • Communication: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership: Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Tools: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Trello)
