JOB PURPOSE

  • To focus on monitoring and ensuring the compliance with statutory, and regulatory compliances, industry regulations and company policies.
  • To uphold the health and safety standards of the facility, the employees and the goods received and dispatched.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Inspections:

  • Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
  • Inspect the condition and temperature of products upon arrival and prior to dispatch.
  • Perform sensory evaluations (visual, smell, texture) to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Verify product labeling for accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Temperature Monitoring:

  • Monitor and document temperature controls within the cold storage units.
  • Ensure that temperature logs are consistently maintained.
  • Investigate and report any temperature deviations or malfunctions in storage systems.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state food safety standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
  • Complete quality control reports and product inspection logs.
  • Maintain accurate records of product movements, shelf life, and condition reports.

Audits and Process Improvement:

  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that all processes adhere to quality standards and procedures.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions for non-compliance or quality issues.
  • Suggest and assist in the development of process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Training and Team Collaboration:

  • Train warehouse staff on quality control processes, product handling, and food safety standards.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., Inventory, Operations) to ensure smooth product flow and adherence to quality standards.

Product Handling and Storage:

  • Ensure that all products are stored correctly, including proper stacking, rotation, and stock management.
  • Ensure that storage areas are clean, organized, and free from contaminants.
  • Prepare deviation report for product, van temperature non-conformity.
  • Complaint Management:
  • Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and initiate corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality issues to relevant teams and ensure timely resolution.

Sanitation Management

  • Conduct daily facility audit to assess the overall condition, compliance, efficiency, and safety of the facility.
  • Preparation of foot bath, chemical dilution.
  • Conduct daily personnels hygiene audit.
  • Conduct daily pest control audit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate of BS Food Technology, Microbiology, or other related food and pharmaceutical background
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within a cold storage, warehouse, or food production environment.
  • Knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Certificate holders in NMIS, HACCP, GMP, Food Safety and Occupational Safety are preferred.
