US Earthwork Modeling Technician (Agtek Preferred) 
Background
  • PeoplePartners is on the hunt for an Earthwork Modeling Technician to support one of our amazing US-based civil construction clients. If you geek out on contours, slopes, and spot elevations—and love the idea of building virtual earthworks from the ground up—keep reading.
About the Role
  • You'll be the silent architect behind the estimates—translating civil plans and geotechnical data into accurate Gradework models using Agtek or similar software. This isn't just data entry; it's high-precision, judgment-driven modeling that sets the tone for entire construction projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret site plans, geotech reports, and grading limits.
  • Import and align CAD/PDF/TIN data into Agtek Gradework (or similar).
  • Model both existing and proposed surfaces with surgical accuracy.
  • Flag missing/conflicting data, document assumptions clearly.
  • Coordinate with estimators via Teams and shared folders.
  • Deliver organized, labeled files—ready for estimator review.

  • You're obsessive about accuracy.
  • You thrive on solo focus work but communicate with clarity.
  • You love building neat, logically named files and models.
  • You see geotech layers and instantly think "stripping depth".
About YOUR Work History
  • Agtek Gradework experience is highly preferred, but Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble Business Center (TBC), or other earthwork modeling tools are welcome.
  • You've worked with civil plans and have a feel for modeling terrain with precision.
  • Ideally, you've supported estimators or engineers—even in a junior role.
  • You've learned from modeling mistakes and made your systems tighter because of them.
