Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage the compensation and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation. Collaborate closely with safety management to integrate HR practices with a strong safety culture across all operations, adhering to DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
- Provide HR metrics and reports to management to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead HR aspects of workforce planning, including staffing for new projects, managing seasonal or project-based employment contracts, and handling separation procedures in accordance with the Labor Code.
- Handle employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Proven working experience (7+ years) as an HR Manager or senior HR Executive, with significant and demonstrable experience in the construction industry in the Philippines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, the Labor Code of the Philippines, DOLE issuances, and compliance across various industries, with specialized expertise in construction-related labor laws, safety standards (OSHS), and contracting/sub-contracting regulations.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics, HRIS systems, and the ability to adapt HR tools to a diverse and often mobile workforce in the Philippine context.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to architect strategy, manage a team, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with corporate executives, project managers, and field personnel, respecting local cultural nuances.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field required; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Human Resources Professional - CHRP) preferred.
- Proficiency in Filipino and English is essential.
