Job Title: Chef de Partie – Pastry
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate should have a true passion for pastry arts, an eye for detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality desserts and baked goods.
As a Chef de Partie – Pastry, you will be responsible for managing the pastry section of the kitchen, ensuring that all desserts, pastries, and baked items are prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will play a key role in menu development, daily production, and maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section.
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Ensure all products meet quality, portion, and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef on menu planning and new recipe development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in compliance with food safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring high levels of skill and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering pastry-specific ingredients.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a pastry role (Minimum of 3 years)
- Formal culinary training, preferably with a focus on pastry arts.
- Strong knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail in presentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A team player with strong communication and leadership abilities.
