Job Overview

The Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer under the Hazardous Waste Management Unit will assist in screening and evaluating all applications for Hazardous Waste Registration ID. The role supports the section by checking compliance with hazardous waste regulations, validating all submitted requirements, coordinating with applicants for any needed clarification, and keeping accurate records and documentation for smooth regulatory processing.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Licensed Chemical Engineer or Licensed Sanitary Engineer or a graduate of any engineering course or any bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
  • Licensed engineers relevant to the job (preferred)

Skills and Competencies

  • Basic understanding of hazardous waste management
  • Attention to detail for document screening
  • Solid analytical skills for evaluating technical submissions
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in standard office software
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

Screening and Evaluation Functions

  • Assist in the screening and evaluation of all applications received for Hazardous Waste Registration ID.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of submitted requirements.
  • Coordinate with applicants on clarifications when needed.

Administrative and Other Duties

  • Maintain updated records and logs of processed applications.
  • Prepare basic summaries and documentation related to evaluated submissions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
